German clothing startup Rani & Reine hired us to photograph their launch campaign in early 2021. We brainstormed with the founders to highlight the Himalayan origins of their clothing line. We shot portraits of nine Himachali women weaving these branded woollens, with an emphasis on processes and use of distinctive local tools to cement authenticity and tell the brand story better.
In line with our expertise, we launched the brand with commercial photographs grounded in a documentary aesthetic. All photos were shot on location in Himachal Pradesh and continue to be used on the brand's website and social media channels. As long term collaborators, we will continue to work with the brand to deepen documentation of their production process.
